The category Person is used to classify people. Formally, it corresponds to the class foaf:Person (Friend Of A Friend) of the FOAF vocabulary. The article about people provides an alternative view on the persons that have been entered into this wiki.
Many foaf properties also implicitly require that the involved parties are foaf:Persons, but since the wiki does not incorporate reasoning based on the complete foaf ontology, it is good style to still classify persons explicitly. It is recommended not to use the categories Category:foaf:person and Category:foaf:Person which have more lengthy and technical names.
